Comparison with Elastic Deuteron Asymmetry

I calculated the size of elastic deuteron asymmetry that would correspond to our experimental setup, assuming that where would be vector-polarized deuterium in the target instead of Helium. To be able to compare these results to our measured asymmetries, I corrected the elastic asymmetry for the effective polarization of the (d) inside 3He (P = 2/3). I have considered "Abbotts" parameterization of the (d) form-factors. I derived the asymmetry formula using notes from ZLZ thesis. Here I considered that Pzz (tensor polarization is 1).

Considered events:

Following plots show 12.5deg and 14.5deg data, that were considered in the analysis.

Theta* and Phi* angles

By using additional event cuts (taking only those events for which theoretical calculations exist) mean th* and phi* angles have changed a bit.

How non-zero phi8 angle affects the asymmetry?

These plots show, how the theoretical asymmetry changes by changing angles th* and phi* around the nominal values. Changes are not significant.
