Asymmetry analysis for (e,e'd)p and (e,e'p) channels:

I am tyring to compare theoretical calculations with measured asymmetry. To achieve this, I have averaged the theoretical asymmetry over the available kinematic (E', theta_e) acceptance. I have decided to do this on event by event basis.

Procedure:

1.) Determine E', theta_e, phi_dq, p_Miss for each event
2.) Find the corresponding kinematic bin and select appropriate theoretical calculations.
3.) Neglect all the data, for which theoretical calculations do not exist.
4.) All calculations are made for the center of each kinematic bin.
5.) Using 2D interpolation calculate asymmetry for given combination of p_Miss and phi_dq.
6.) Fill the 2D histogram with the theoretical calculations.
7.) Determine the average and compare with the data.

8.) For the proton channel, input from MCEEP is required to combine 3BBU and 2BBU theoretical asymmetries.

Results for the (e,e'd) channel

The analysis was done for the following grid of theoretical points:

Better mesh of theoretical points:

To get better agreement of the theory to the data, a more refined grid of theoretical points is required. We have chosen new grid of points. We already asked Golak to make calculations for this new set of points:

03.)

With given choice of points we can still use results from previous calculations.

Analysis for the (e,e'p) channel:

A similar procedure was considered as for the deuteron channel. However, for the proton channel, both 2BBU and 3BBU theoretical asymmetries must be averaged.

Proton Results:

Here are the mean values of the measured asymmetries, together with averaged values of the theoretical 2BBU and 3BBU asymmetries:

MCEEP:

To properly compare theoretical calculations to the measured asymmetries, input from MCEEP is needed, which tells us the ratio between 2BBU and 3BBU contribution as a function of missing momentum. A simulation plot from my thesis is incorrect due to the problem with the MCEEP (bin by bin comparison does not work). I made new simulation. Results are much different now. When the theoretical asymmetries are weighted with the MCEEP ratio, we get following results.
